Techniques stockinette stitch, k1/p1 ribbing, traveling twisted stitches, increases and decreases, kitchener stitch, I-cord
Please note: Selvedge sts are knitted on the front row and purled on the back row unless otherwise indicated.
The bonnet is knitted as a rectangular from the forehead to the back of the head. After the last row the sts are joined with kitchener stitch. Then sts are picked up on the lower edge to knit the ribbing. To finish the bonnet two I-Cords are attached.
The textured pattern consists of traveling twisted stitches. It’s a lovely technique to make a tiny cable without a cable needle.
